Our four-part series on the best of the best in the U.S. men?s youth national team pool at every position reaches its final waypoint today. Forwards. The glamor position.

We?ve seen what the un-capped U.S. youth international pool has to offer between the posts. And we?ve seen what the defender cache looks like. Next up? The engine room. It?s time to talk midfielders.

The assessment of our YNT system?s best players at every position continues. And today, it?s the defenders? turn.

These five keepers are, in my estimation, the next in line. Don?t be surprised to see a few of these wrestling for full national team minutes in the coming years. Of any position, the U.S. has not struggled to develop world class goalkeepers. Expect that reputation to fire back up again soon.
