For the third straight week, the girls national poll has a new No. 1 from a new state.

Tennessee program Houston vaulted above previous top teams South Side and Exeter to claim the nation's No. 1 spot for the first time after picking up a 10th win of the season last week. Exeter, last week's top team, fell to No. 2 with a 5-0-0 record to Houston's 10-0-0 mark. South Side, meanwhile, recently picked up its first draw.

Just two weeks after holding the No. 1 spot, Indiana's Carmel fell from No. 4 to out of the poll this week. Meanwhile, fellow Indiana program Avon picked up some of the slack by rocketing from receiving votes to 13th to take over the distinction of the state's top team.
