U18 WNT Heads to Florida for Final Camp

November 29, 2011

The U.S. Under-18 Women?s National Team will hold its final training camp of the year in Sunrise, Fla. from Dec. 11-18.

U.S. Soccer Women?s Technical Director April Heinrichs has called in 26 players, the majority born in 1994 with several born in 1993 and 1992. These `94s will most likely form the core of the team that will compete to attend the 2014 FIFA Under-20 Women?s World Cup in Canada, but all are still age-eligible and being evaluated for possible spots on the team that will attempt to qualify for the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women?s World Cup in Uzbekistan. That team has an age cut-off of players born on or after Jan. 1, 1992.
