U17 Residency player commits, shifting power

March 7, 2012

For Colton Storm, heading to North Carolina in 2013 will be a little like being back in the U.S. U17 Residency Program.

Storm, the No. 33 ranked 2013 player in the country, announced his commitment this past weekend which again aligned him with former U17 roommate Joseph Amon.

?I feel pretty good about where I belong on the (North Carolina) team and it?ll be nice to be alongside my past roommate,? Storm said. ?The coaches are very welcoming and I know what they want. I love their style of play, and really love everything about North Carolina.?

The feeling should be mutual. Storm is a talented and versatile midfielder who covers a lot of ground setting up the offensive attack and supporting the defense. He?s a great worker and is the type of player who could make any team better.

Storm will also be joining such class standouts as Daniel Garcia (No. 15 in Top 100), Jonathan Campbell (No. 63), and Alexander Olofson (No. 58).

He should feel at home, indeed.

Just across the way, NC State also picked up a headliner when Michael Bajza gave his verbal commitment for 2013. Bajza is a Shattuck St. Mary?s midfielder who is ranked No. 91 in his class.
