The Boys ECNL season was in full effect over the weekend with a number of conferences hosting games. There were also a few friendlies in the MLS Next league as a couple of MLS academy teams were also in action.
There was plenty of news off the field as well. New York Red Bulls signed a 14-year-old, now 15-year-old to a Homegrown contract. And also lost a promising teenager to the allure of Europe, as Kenan Hot - one of the top midfielders from the 2004 age group - left the academy on Saturday and has trials lined up with two Bundesliga clubs when he is permitted to travel to Germany.
On the field, there were plenty of remarkable moments from the past weekend in the boys club soccer world. TopDrawerSoccer highlights the standouts below. If you wish to be considered for the weekly standouts list, please email rankings@topdrawersoccer.com.
